The milestone reflects 11 years with PrintReleaf and 120,981 standard trees reforested across certified projects worldwide.

Dynamic Software Solutions and its customers have now passed one billion standard sheets offset through PrintReleaf.

As at August 2026, the DSS PrintReleaf profile records:

  • 1,008,137,162 standard sheets offset
  • 120,981 standard trees reforested
  • 15 reforestation projects across 12 countries

DSS began working with PrintReleaf in 2015 and is now a Platinum Distributor Partner.

How PrintReleaf works


PrintReleaf connects paper-consumption data with certified global reforestation projects.

Consumption data can be collected automatically through compatible managed print monitoring software or reported manually. The data is then converted into standard sheets and standard tree equivalents under the PrintReleaf Standard.

Under this standard, 8,333 sheets of standard letter-sized paper represent one standard tree equivalent. In this context, “sheets offset” refers to the equivalent paper consumption matched to reforestation through PrintReleaf. It does not mean the paper was avoided or removed from use.

Customers can select supported reforestation projects and access certificates and impact statements documenting their contribution. PrintReleaf projects are independently audited against requirements covering planting, tree survival, project management and long-term restoration.

 

Reforestation across 15 global projects


DSS customer activity has contributed to 15 PrintReleaf reforestation projects across 12 countries.

Madagascar represents the largest share, with 65,116 standard trees reforested, accounting for more than half of the DSS total.

The remaining impact extends across projects in Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas. These projects support different local priorities, including biodiversity restoration, recovery from wildfire and the rehabilitation of degraded land.

A practical addition to managed print


Through DSS, print resellers, managed print providers and IT service providers can offer PrintReleaf as part of their managed print services.

Integration with compatible monitoring software allows paper-consumption data to be collected alongside existing device and print information. This makes it possible to incorporate reforestation into an established managed print programme without creating a separate measurement process.

Customers receive documented results, including certificates and impact statements, that can support sustainability reporting, account reviews and communications.
